THE PLAN

The plan is simple. We pick a location here in San Diego - a park, preferably with lots of shade - and have a cosplay picnic. A vague date for it is Summer 2009, since that seems to be a good time for it. If we play our location cards right, we could even include a trip to the beach( picnic on the beach probably not the best idea, but if there's a grassy area beside the beach it could work ), so swimsuits would be a good idea. Basically, we all meet up, hang out, eat food, and generally act like dorks. Also, if you don't think you look enough like one of the characters to cosplay in, picking out some traditional clothing would be fine too <strike>I have a yukata that someone can borrow</strike>. If only a few people can make it, it's all good.

Instead of going to a restaurant, which could get pricey, I figure we could have a vote on what food to make, and I could recruit a couple people into helping me cook it. I don't mean to brag, but I'm a pretty good cook, so you wouldn't have to worry about that. Making large portions would be no problem.

Transportation, uh. I don't know all that much about transportation here or where anything is except the things that are just down the street from me SO. If fellow San Diegans could contribute, that'd be awesome. On that note, it would be awesome if said San Diegans and I could meet up beforehand and work out a <strike>battle plan</strike> plan of some kind that would be awesome too. Oh, and by summer I might have my driver's license - haven't even gone to get it yet, lolol - so I might be able to cart people around. If not, well, I know someone with a van.

We'd have to end the event before midnight at least, since I don't have room in my house for everyone. If we had a basement, it could work out, but we don't, so that's kind of.. no.

If we could keep all the planning here in my journal, that'd be great, since I don't want to bother the comm etc. etc.
